Patient Service Representative


Peachtree Immediate Care has an immediate opening for a Patient Service Representative at our Woodstock location.
Full-time position: 3 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekend shift. Must be willing to float between the Holly Springs, Kennesaw, Woodstock, and Marietta Clinics.

We have an opening for a Patient Service Representative to provide healthcare services to patients in a clinical setting, ensuring patients are treated with high standards of care. Employees in this role ensure a high-quality and consistent approach to patient care and work as liaisons between patients and medical providers. We are looking for someone who is caring, courteous and efficient. Individuals in this role need to be detail-oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Peachtree Immediate Care centers are open seven days a week from 8 am - 8 pm and provide walk-in care for injury, illness, and minor procedures, as well as family care to keep both parents and children healthy.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for providing the Perfect Patient Experience. Greet patients, create, and manage
appointments. Update patient and insurance information in the computer system, while verifying
health insurance benefits and eligibility. Explain payment policies and billing/collections processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to):
1. Greet, register, instruct, discharge, and provide general assistance to patients.
2. Obtain demographic and financial information and enter the computer system.
3. Verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information on payment policies and
billing/collection processes.
4. Determine and collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, past due balances, and other patient
financial responsibilities and maintain and balance the cash drawer.
5. Answer the telephone promptly, virtual messages, and return voicemails.
6. Perform clerical tasks as required.
7. Ability to multitask.
8. Opens, sorts, and screens mail.
9. Assure the readiness of the facility each day.
10. Assist patients with the required processes, i.e. CCPA, Self-Pay, Out of Network, etc.
11. To perform all the duties mentioned above, the Patient Service Representative should have a
warm, outgoing personality, excellent telephone etiquette, the ability to work under pressure, and
be ability to work accurately and efficiently.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent. A Medical Assistant diploma is highly preferred
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with patients in a high-paced facility.
• Reliable transportation to commute to assigned regional offices.
• Ability to work all shifts including day, evening, and weekend hours as needed.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in clean, well-lit, heated, and air-conditioned areas.
Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases is possible. The work schedule depends on department
needs and current staffing patterns. Holiday and weekend work as necessary.
